Chemical Awareness is a clearinghouse of tools and resources on the development and communication of exposure information on chemicals.

In some cases, the documents and tools provided are in various stages of review by professionals, and as such, should be viewed as "works in progress." In addition, the links to other related Web sites are provided for convenience and information only, and do not represent an implied or express warranty endorsement of the site, its sponsor, or the information contained therein.

The site was originally founded by the Alliance for Chemical Awareness (ACA), an initiative sponsored by several companies and organizations from the business community, working with guidance from government agencies and non-governmental organizations. Much of the material included on the Chemical Awareness site is an outcome of the collaborative efforts of the original members of ACA. It should be noted that the ACA no longer exists, and its previous members are no longer actively engaged in the development or endorsement of information provided on this site.

This site is currently supported through funding support of the American Chemistry Council.
